Buck and the Preacher (1972): This is a Western, starring legendary African-American actors Sidney Poitier, Harry Belafonte, and Ruby Dee. It takes place shortly after the end of the Civil War, when some formerly enslaved people are migrating to the West. Poitier, an Academy Award winner, directed the film. |
