Active Buddies
Active Buddies matches two, or possibly more, people who commit to doing regular exercise together. This is as easy as meeting regularly to walk, attend a yoga class, go to the gym, etc. If someone else is meeting us, we will show up!
Staying active and socially connected are important for our physical and mental health. Maintaining good balance and strength are important for older people. Cultivating friendships keeps our minds sharp and our hearts full. Exercising with another person or in a group addresses both of these goals.
Pickle ball, biking, hiking, weightlifting, golf, kayaking – whatever the activity, if we do it with a friend, it happens more often than if we are on our own. Any activity is good activity, so it need not be strictly exercise. What would you like to do with a Valley Village friend?
